====== Installing Iceclient On Windows ======

===== Installing =====

  - First make sure you have a Java runtime installed. Java 7 is recommended, and you can get the latest from [[https://www.java.com/en/download/|here]]. <color #ff0000>**Be careful when installing Java, or you may end up with an unwanted Ass Toolbar or Mccrappy Securiy. Uncheck the option to install these when prompted.**</color>
  - Download the Iceclient package from the [[iceclient:play|Play]] page.
  - Create a folder called Iceclient somewhere.
  - Either extract the Zip file into this folder using your favourite archive tool (such as WinZip, WinRAR etc), or if you do not have one installed, just open the file in Windows explorer and drag the contents into the new folder.

===== Running =====

  - Open Windows explorer and navigate to the folder you created when installing.
  - Double client on **Iceclient.exe**

===== Other Tips =====

  * You can create a shortcut by right clicking on **Iceclient.exe** and chosing **Create Shortcut**. You can then drag this shortcut wherever you like to launch the client.

A proper installer will eventually be provided :)
